Vermont

9/22 - 9/25 Brian spent the better part of the week in Houston, TX taking a training course. So I took advantage of the time to re-group and get some R&R. I also found a nice ride to Lake Champlain on my bike. I decided to take Brian on this ride when he got home on Friday. Well, things went well until I fell off of my bike. I mean, who falls off their bike these days? Oh well, I was fine but pretty bruised up. I felt much better late in the day when we met up with Caroline and she gave us a tour of her campus, St. Michael's College. We had a little lunch then met up later for a couple fresh brews and some awesome pizza and Fiddlehead Brewery in Shelburne. We also visited Shelburne orchards and picked some apples and gorged on cider and apple cider donuts.

We had a great time with Caroline and really enjoyed the Vermont fall foliage, as always, but I was more than ready to move on to the next place after being here for a week.

On Saturday 9/27, we headed south to the Green Mountains in Southern Vermont and camped at the Woodford campground in the National Forest for the weekend. The foliage was unreal. Beautiful reds and orange colors from the sugar maples. It was a busy campground and we were right on the Adams Reservoir. Each campground is a little different, especially if we stay in a National Forest or National Park, they mostly do not have hooks-ups (power and water) but we are very self sufficient. We have two generator/inverters and a water tank in the camper so we are good for at least 3-4 days.

A beautiful weekend but time to move on.. to the Catskills!
