The Beginning

To re-cap, Brian and I have rented our home in Cohasset for two years, sold our boat, purchased a new truck (Star) and 30' camper, a Keystone Hideout and have decided to travel the country in-between our tours at sea.

We have begun our journey and our first stop was in East Concord, VT at my parent's property. It's quite rustic, but also a favorite place of ours to visit. There is a small cabin on the 66 acre lot, there is no power or running water. We parked the rig at the end of the drive-way and got a taste of life unplugged. We had a good time hangin' with my parents and visited the St. Johnsbury fall festival while we were in the area. Sunday we said goodbye to mom and dad and traveled west to the Burlington area.

The game plan thus far is to travel along the eastern states and reach the west coast of Florida by Halloween. We are going to have to sit down and plan a more specific route when Brian gets home but for now the next stop is in the Green Mountain State Park in southern Vermont for the weekend. So for now that's the game plan. I hope to be more specific and more blog savvy over the next few weeks.
