My cousin, Pauly, picked me up at the Tampa airport on Monday night last week. I spent a couple days hanging with Miss Ella and all the Fredericks’ and enjoying every second of the warm weather. Brian was delayed first on the ship for fog in Louisiana then at the airport for mechanical errors. Everyone loves to hear they are delayed because of mechanical errors on the plane, right? Anyway, he made it in safely on Thursday morning. We shot down to Bradenton to hang at the beach and visit with the Martins’ then made it back up to St. Pete to celebrate a certain someone’s 3rd birthday.
On Saturday, we hooked up with my buddy, Brian, who lives in the the area, and he took us out fishing. We were sitting right under the Sunshine Skyway Bridge slaying mango snappers. When we ran out of bait, we headed to a waterfront restaurant and had some lunch before heading back to the dock. The guys filleted all the fish and gave us the day’s catch. We brought the fish down to Bradenton and cooked it up for dinner with Mary Lou. Nothing like having a fish fry with fish you caught only hours before.
Sunday we picked up the camper from the Coast Guard Base and spent the day running errands and getting ready for the trip. It is always hard to say goodbye, we love spending time with our families, but we know will be back again to visit. We took off that afternoon and headed north to Homosassa, FL.
